Tomato Clownfish are a unique and hardy species of clownfish ranging throughout the Pacific Ocean reefs, notable for its beautiful tomato red-orange coloration and single vertical white bar behind the eyes. Juveniles often display a second vertical stripe which fades with time, and it's common for the center portion of their bodies to become a much darker, nearly black, shade of red.

Care

Tomato Clownfish grow to a maximum size of 5 inches, and may be kept in aquariums of 30 gallons or larger. All clownfish can be aggressive, and Tomato Clowns especially have a reputation for this as they age. A breeding pair in a small tank can become an absolute terror to its tank mates when caring for eggs, though this is less severe in larger tanks. Like most clowns, once established, Tomato Clowns are very hardy fish with long lifespans, and make great beginner fish.

Diet

Clowns typically aren't picky eaters, and will readily accept frozen, flake, or pellet foods.
