Native Region:

Native to the lower Rio Xingu in Brazil, Ember Tetra is found in slow-moving streams and rivers with clear, slightly acidic waters, surrounded by dense aquatic vegetation.


Aquarium Setup:

Tank Size: Minimum 10 gallons; best kept in groups of at least 6-10 individuals
