Blue King Tetras, also known as Cochu’s Blue Tetras, are a beautiful and uncommon species or small, torpedo shaped tetra that display a bright blue coloration rarely seen in the freshwater aquarium trade. This peaceful and undemanding fish makes an eye-catching schooling option for aquarists of all skill levels.
Care
Blue King Tetras grow to a maximum size of 2 inches, and should be kept in schools of 5 or more in tanks larger than 20 gallons. They're a very hardy and peaceful species, and make a great community fish, though they have been known to nip and slow moving long-finned species when kept in smaller aquariums. As with most small tetras, it's important to provide them with plenty of plants and cover for them to feel comfortable.
Diet
Blue Kind Tetras are omnivorous, and will readily accept prepared foods such as flakes or pellets.
