Native Region:

Originally derived from wild angelfish native to the slow-moving rivers and floodplains of the Amazon Basin in South America.

Temperature: 75-82°F (24-28°C)

pH: 6.5-7.5

Hardness: Soft to moderately hard water

Substrate: Fine gravel or sand with plenty of vertical décor such as driftwood and tall plants for shelter.


Additional Tips:

Social Behavior: Best kept in small groups or pairs; can be territorial, especially during breeding.

Compatibility: Suitable tank mates include other peaceful, similarly sized fish such as larger tetras, peaceful cichlids, and Corydoras catfish. Avoid fin-nipping species.

Diet: Provide a balanced diet of high-quality pellets, flakes, and occasional live or frozen foods like bloodworms and brine shrimp for optimal health and coloration.
