Goldflake Maroon Clownfish are a variation of the common Goldstripe Maroon Clownfish, but with distinct horizontal bars and randomized white spots. Like the Goldstripe clowns, the stripes start out white, and develop the gold coloration as they approach adulthood within 1-2 years.
Care
Goldflake Maroon clownfish grow to a maximum size of about 6" for females, and slightly smaller for males. They're a highly territorial species, and generally won't swim too far from their chosen rock or anemone, making them suitable for smaller tanks despite their size. However, aggression may be more of an issue, as it will be harder for other fish to get out of their territory. Like most clowns, once established, Maroon Clowns are very durable fish with long lifespans, and make great beginner fish.
Diet
Clownfish typically aren't picky eaters, and will readily accept frozen, flake, or pellet foods.
