Color: Bright blue body with a neon-like iridescence, highlighted by a vivid red stripe that runs from the middle of the body to the base of the tail. The contrasting colors are particularly striking under proper lighting conditions.

Native Region:

The Neon Tetra is native to the Rio Negro and Rio Orinoco river systems in the Amazon Basin of South America, including parts of Colombia and Brazil. These habitats are characterized by slow-moving, acidic waters with abundant vegetation.

Tank Size: Minimum of 10 gallons (38 liters) for a small school

Hardness: Soft to moderately hard water (1-10 dGH)
